Day One

We flew in to Dominican Republic at about 11:00 in the evening.  During the flight we flew over the island of Turks n Caicos.  As we approached the Dominican Republic we could see the lights of the island.

 It was really neat and looked like a mass of lights n the middle of space.

 When we got up and looked out our bedroom window we could see that we are right on the water.

If we look beyond the pool you can see we are situated on top of a bed of lava rocks.

 Located by the pool are some ocean kayaks.  We may have to check those out later.

It is time to take a shower and go see if we can find a good place to eat.  This shower looks like it might be quite a challenge.

 Now that the shower is over it is time to go out and see the sunset.  The sun here sets over the land instead of over the water.  It is still pretty.
